Is this a good vegetarian weight loss diet?

k so i want to lose 10 lbs and im a veg.Is this a good vegetarian diet? 2 servings of egg whites with an apple and 1 cup of chocolate soy milk.lunch-1 veggie burger with an orange.Dinner- banana and 1 cup of strawberries and 1 piece of wholewheat bread with peanutbutter? Is this a good vegetarian weight loss diet?
no, you need more food , less carbs
DEFINITELY eat more for dinner. I'm not sure what that might be but what you listed isn't enough. Take away either the fruit or the bread/pb and add a main course like a small-ish serving of pasta. Make sure you're getting enough protein and vegetables and don't forget to take a multi-vitamin! Do some intense exercise daily for 20 minutes and keep exercising for at least a half hour.Is this a good vegetarian weight loss diet?
Not its dumb you can't do that every single day and not get really really bored. You could do it for 3 dyays then naturally you'll kick out and eat somethign esle.

Just eat fewer calories than you have been recently- like take out some of those frappuccinos.

Ya know?
doesn't sound like a horrible diet. but make sure to mix it up and get different foods in there too. exercise helps a lot with weight loss, low impact cardio like a stair machine can do wonders in combo with eating healthy. Is this a good vegetarian weight loss diet?
No. You are not getting nearly enough calories, nor are you getting enough nutrients. Essentially, you're starving yourself. You'll lose weight rapidly, then gain it all back just as rapidly.
No, to be honest, it sounds terrible. It sounds like the diet of someone with an eating disorder. When you restrict calories, your body goes into famine mode, which means it holds onto fat as hard as it can. Then when you do eat normally again, the body stores as much of it as possible as fat for the next time you starve it. It lowers your metabolism, and makes it much easier to gain weight. Believe me, I was badly annorexic and messed with my metabolism so badly, that just eating a bowl of vegetables would make me fat.

If you want to lose weight, you need to raise your metabolism not lower it. You should eat a healthy amount of calories -2000 a day - but change the types of foods you're eating.

Soya milk causes an underactive thyroid so I would cut out all soya.

Cut out all processed food, nothing out of a packet or a tin, nothing fried or microwaved. No refined flour - no white flour, pasta, rice, or sugar. Only real natural foods.

No salt as it causes fluid retention.

No caffeine, or alcohol.

Raw eggs - whole, never eat just raw whites, they stop your body absorbing biotin - boost your metabolism and build muscle which is why body builders eat massive amounts of them - and they are not fat.

Carbohydrates make your body produce insulin, which makes your body store fat, particularly around the abdomen. Your diet whilst dangerously low in calories and vitamins, minerals, and protein, is actually high in carbohydrates. Almost all the foods are carbs.

So if you want a drastic diet to lose weight, cut out the carbs.

Its hard to do a low carb diet on a vegetarian diet, but it can be done. Cut out grains, and eat nuts and seeds instead. You need to eat both nuts/seeds AND beans to get complete protein. So eat black beans, chickpeas, pinto beans. Eat dark leafy greens, seaweed (which raises your metabolism), coconuts (also raises your metabolism). Eat vegetables but not potatoes, sweet potatoes, yams, parsnips. Make mash from butternut squash or cauliflower instead. Make chips from kale, or squash. Make squash wedges, and baked squash. Grind veg into tiny pieces in a food processor and use as rice. Buy spaghetti squash instead of spaghetti. Make lasagna, using slices of squash or zucchini instead of pasta sheets, and black beans and mushrooms instead of mince.

Eat low calorie fruit like berries, apples. Not bananas, grapes or melon.

I am raw vegan and eat 3500 calories a day, yet I weigh 84lbs. With calories, size doesnt matter, its what you do with them that counts.

Example of a healthy vegetarian diet for you -

wake - green smoothie, 200g kale or spinach blended with mango or papaya

breakfast - vegetable omelette on bed of spinach, watercress, rocket, parsley.

snack - vegetable sticks with home made hoummus

lunch - home made bean burger, in a lettuce wrap, with salad made from dark greens, fresh herbs, sauerkraut, grated veg, sprouted sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, pinenuts, avocado, marinated mushrooms, extra virgin olive oil, cider vinegar (which boosts metabolism), and lemon juice. bowl of strawberries with coconut cream (coconut boosts metabolism).

snack - handful of nuts

dinner - proper meal with beans plus seeds/nuts and lots of veg. examples -

bean hotpot with dumplings made from almonds

bean chillie/curry/sweet n sour/dhal with veg ground upto rice size pieces. dessert made by grinding nuts with banana (to sweeten it), and alternating layers of that with layers of chopped fruit. make a topping by blending pine nuts, lemon juice and honey.

bean bolognaise with spaghetti squash and nut dessert

bean lasagna with nut dessert

chickpea tangine with ground up veg as rice.

nut roast with mashed squash or cauliflower, and peas

nut cutlets with roasted peppers and veg, served with bean dip

in this menu you have complete protein in -

the eggs

hoummus and handful of nuts

bean burgers and nuts/seeds in the salad

beans and nuts in the dinner

Protein builds muscle and boosts your metabolism. If you starve yourself your body will eat its muscles, you wont look toned, and you will put on weight much more easily.
