How do I satisfy my hunger on a vegetarian diet?

I have recently decided to no longer ingest the meats savagely harvested by humans. After viewing certain videos and gaining an inside look on what goes on I refuse to support it. But now I am having a hard time satisfying my hunger without meat and its driving me slightly mad. I absolutely do not want to go back so please any suggestions are welcome. How do I satisfy my hunger on a vegetarian diet?

in addition to beans and nuts, avocados are fairly filling too. I recommend a lot of walnuts since you can't eat fish, walnuts contain omega 3 and make up for this. I myself as a vegan eat A LOT of beans and brown rice, and this makes for a good source of complete protein that's just as good as meat. Amy's brand makes vegetarian refried beans(not cooked in lard) and you can just make burritos/tacos without the meat and add rice and whatever else you like. Very cheap, and very easy to find. If you like peanut butter sandwhiches, you can try natural peanut butter (the kind you have to stir) I find that it's more filling, very tasty, and much healthier. Anything with a lot of fiber is also very filling, use the peanut butter on wheat bread instead of white.

Oh, and there are plenty of meat substitutes out there as well, boca burgers are a very tasty alternative =)
