Why is my acne flaring on a vegetarian diet?

I've been veggie for 2 months now and for the past 3 weeks my acne is worse than it's ever been. I don't eat eggs and limit my dairy. Why is my acne flaring on a vegetarian diet?
As diet does not directly reduce the amount of bacteria in your skin, it definitely will have other effects on your body, skin included. With any major change in diet there will always be consequences, and how your body handles that depends highly on many factors of stress toward your body. This could include but is not limited to; stress, enrivonment, and anything consumed by the body.

I am vegan and have had less acne simply because the amount of stress (healthier digestive system, happier lifestyle and some weight loss) that was lifted off of me. With a well-knowledgeable vegan diet you could probably feel a lot better than you do now as a vegetarian but of course before any major changes you should read about your current diet and what you would be doing; as I hope you did before becoming vegetarian. There are many things that contain products or ingredients you are not always aware of and should really read on how they will effect your body.
As everyone should know what they are eating and what their body really needs (as it is key to conforming a healthy diet) a majority of people completely ignore the facts of what they are eating and what goes on before that dorito becomes what it is. Doritos contain meat.

Just my 2 cents, read up on diet and causes of acne, and do what you can to change what you need for the better. Edit: Make sure you're consistent with your diet, even keep a chart for your vitamins and nutrients and look for whole vitamins (you'll definitely need Iron and probably some B vitamins depending on what you eat) that do not have gelatin.
Because diet does not cause or cure acne. A bacteria, known as Propionibacterium acnes, is a normal inhabitant of the skin. It uses sebum as a nutrient for growth, therefore increases in follicles during puberty. People with acne have more Propionibacterium acnes in their follicles than people without acne. Why is my acne flaring on a vegetarian diet?
Too many carbs, especially refined carbs, can lead to too much Candida as opposed to meat that doesn't provide any sugar to feed Candida. Candida yeast produce toxins that cause Acne. Make sure to eat only whole grains, no refined grains and no sugar. Taking a small amount of garlic each day will also kill the Candida yeast.
Most of the time it's because your body is detoxing from all of the processed, sugary, meats, and dairy out of your system. A lot of things happened to my body from eating fruits and veggies and lots of green juice. I'm sure you're drinking lots of water but this will pass. It also could be hormones and your body is still transitioning..yes, even after 2 months . I use lemons to help with my acne and it seems to helpWhy is my acne flaring on a vegetarian diet?
Stress?

Or maybe because you're not getting your proper nutrients? You still need protein and stuff to make up for your lack of meat ... but I'm sure you're well aware of that fact.

Raging hormones?

Change in environment?

There are a lot of possible answers and because you're a vegetarian does not mean you will not get acne.
Whatever happened three weeks ago is more to blame than what happened two months ago. some people just suddenly develop terrible acne but a dermatologist can clear it up quickly.
Try cutting your dairy out completely for three or four days and see if that makes a difference.
