VEGETABLE PROTEIN: Artichokes, Beets, Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Green peas, Green pepper, Kale, Lettuce, Mushrooms, Mustard green, Onions, Potatoes, Spinach, Tomatoes, Turnip greens, Watercress, Yams, Zucchini
PROTEIN IN FRUITS: Apple, Banana, Cantaloupe, Grape, Grapefruit, Honeydew melon, Orange, Papaya, Peach, Pear, Pineapple, Strawberry, Tangerine, Watermelon
PROTEIN IN NUTS AND SEEDS: Almonds, Cashews, Filberts, Hemp Seeds, Peanuts, Pumpkin seeds, Sesame seeds, Sunflower seeds, Walnuts (black)
Hope this helps.
As you mentioned, pulses(all kinds of dals, rajma, chole) are excellent sources of vegetarian protein.
You may also like to consume tofu, soy milk - if these sound too expensive for you in India - try having soy nuggets(nutrela)
Milk protein is also great - you can eat paneer and cheese. What is the best source of protein in Vegetarian diet except pulses?
dear friend, u can try soya beans, nutrila, french beans, milk, dairy products, cheese, curd, kadi, etc. these things are not very costly. u can also try sprouts, i.e. sabut moong, black chana, etc and after washing put them in water overnight. next day put them in some net or cotton fabric and water it after every 1-2 hours. after a whole day when it will be ready, take some oil in pay and cut onion in that and slightly fry it and put lid on it. mix salt, red chilly power according to taste. it is rich in protein.
Soy is completely unnecessary and pales with comparison to handful of almonds or other nuts such as walnuts or any type of nut you have at India. The brown rice and nuts can be mixed for a curried seasoned warm meal. What is the best source of protein in Vegetarian diet except pulses?
All green vegetables are good source of protein. Specially green leaves. You can also have nuts but be careful as they have both saturated and unsaturated fat.
1.Soya protein
2.Soya bean lumps
3.Edible Mushrooms
4.Paneer
5.Chhena (casein)
soyabean is a good source of protein.it is preferable to use branded packets eg. nutrella
milk is agood source of protein.double toned milk packets can be used in case u want to avoid fat
Hi
you can drink soya milk or eat nuts a lot .
also if you are simi vegterian , you can eat eggs... its full of protine too.
Eggs, dairy (if your lacto-ovo), peas, nuts seeds and whole grains.
BTW: I'd recommend trying different soy products, since they don't really taste like the bean they came from.
Tofu, Tempeh, Quinoa, Brown Rice, Vegan multivitamin for starters.
Soya beans and milk.
Soya bean and nuts is enough
