I need an example of a vegetarian diet for bodybuilding?

Can someone give me an example of what a vegetarian body builder should eat for breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks?



I need to lose about 5 lbs of fat and gain lots of muscle.

Of course, I am workout a lot as well. I just feel my vegetarian diet is lacking.

You can not simultaneously lose body fat and increase muscle mass, although when people lose body fat and start seeing their muscle more clearly they are often led to believe that they have increased muscle while losing fat.



To lose fat you must have a caloric deficit in your diet (caloric intake %26lt; caloric expenditure). To gain muscle you must have a caloric surplus in your diet (caloric intake %26gt; caloric expenditure). So decide whether you want to gain muscle mass or lose fat first.



To gain muscle on a vegetarian diet you will need to obtain as much protein as possible from vegetable sources. You should search on Google for vegetables that contain lots of protein. Milk would be a good source of protein for you. Nuts are good as well, if not so much for protein, at least for the fat that is necessary for a proper diet.



Post-workout meals are probably the most important meals for bodybuilders. I recommend whey protein mixed in water (or milk if you don't like the taste of whey protein in water) as soon as possible after a workout, served with a carbohydrates source, such as raisins.



As for losing fat, vegetables and fruit are good as carbohydrates/fiber sources. You will still need protein for your muscles and a good source of fat, such as nuts. Make sure you are following some cardio plan, preferably in conjunction with a weightlifting workout. Do not lower the weight.



Whether bodybuilding or losing fat you should be having 5-6 meals a day. 3 main meals and 2-3 small snacks. This keeps the metabolism up.

Hey I know what you're going thought my friend were in the same position until he fond this site on the net he were skeptical at first,and decided to try and loss 30 pound in the last 2 months I thought this would be of some help.
