Does a vegetarian diet make your taste buds work better?

For some reason, food tastes a whole lot better to me now. Is there a physiological reason for the change?Does a vegetarian diet make your taste buds work better?
About a year ago, I felt so sick that every bite of food I took, I had to throw up, because for some reason I did not know what was wrong with me, so I started to eat a lot of vegetables, rice cooked the way I always used to make it for my kids, with beans I cooked myself and that was the way I endured the sickness I had.

I got so sick that my family had to call an ambulance because for some reason I could not breath since my lungs were full of water and my heart was the size of a grapefruit, from than on I try to take care of myself by eating lots of vegetables and no greasy food, if I don't the Doctor said that I would not last long.

That scared me some so yes now I love any vegetable I cook.

It could have something to do with the hormones in the meat,like the other person said.



But I think it's mostly because, you're tasting new things now. Meat eaters focus so much on the meat part of their diet, that they don't realize how great the vegetabley part is.

I think it's just that being vegetarian opens you up to so many new foods. Instead of just hamburgers or whatever you have lots of things that are healthier and more tasty. I've discovered lots of new foods since becoming vegan.Does a vegetarian diet make your taste buds work better?
Yeah :) plus vegetarians and vegans eat a bigger and better variety of foods!
Veggies make my jaws hurt from so much chewing, would rather eat something warm and meaty.
I agree, once the overly fatty, sugar laden, too salty SAD (Standard American Diet) is cleared from a person's system they taste FOOD for what it is.
Yes, because they aren't covered in dead animal fat.
