Can I Eat Flavored Ramen Noodles On A Vegetarian Diet?

I started a vegetarian diet monday, but I've not a single clue of what I can %26amp; can't eat other than the obvious beef, pork, poultry, etc...Is it ok to eat Flavored noodles such as beef, pork, chicken, oriental, etc? And what of meat flavored chips? And some extra info about vegetarian diets would be much appriciated. Please %26amp; thanks. ^_^Can I Eat Flavored Ramen Noodles On A Vegetarian Diet?
No. There are many foods with animal products in them that you would not expect. Did you know they use pig meat in twinkies and similar products? They do, many good foods use lard based products. Read the ingredients on foods you eat for lard or similar animal fat products...

And Ramen Noodles often use meat flavoring to flavor their meat flavored dishes.

If M'aiq reads you correctly you want to know if it is okay to eat pork rinds. Pork rinds are pig skin and M'aiq would imagine that you would not like to eat this...
I became vegetarian because I don't like the additives in meat (the hormones, antibiotics, sick animals, grain-fed, manure mixed in...)

I look at the back of EVERY item I buy. I'm addicted to the prepared, bagged rice mixes. If they include chicken fat or dehydrated chicken, I skip 'em. I figure all of the stuff listed above is included in the flavorings.

I guess every vegetarian is different and you have to choose what works for you. Just think about why you're vegetarian and what you will or won't eat!Can I Eat Flavored Ramen Noodles On A Vegetarian Diet?
You can eat Ramen noodles, but eat them plain if you can stand it. Flavoring such as beef and chicken go against the vegetarian diet. You could go for the shrimp flavored Ramen noodles, because fish aren't really prohibited in a vegetarian diet.
The noodles themselves are fine, just not the added flavor. Go for the ramen that has the flavor in a packet, so you can cook the noodles plain and add your own vege sauce. Can I Eat Flavored Ramen Noodles On A Vegetarian Diet?
You can eat whatever you want, but if it's meat flavored, it's usually flavored with meat. So not vegetarian.
You can cook the ramen WITHOUT the packet and add your own seasonings.
Yes. There are various types of ramen noodles. Do whatever makes you happy.
Since they are labeled "flavor" it's actually alright. Just avoid the "Shrimp" flavored stuff because they actually have dried pieces of shrimp in them. HOWEVER, if you are becoming vegetarian from a philosophical and ethical standpoint, then ANY meat by-product is NOT allowed. Many restaurants are off limits even if they serve vegetarian meals because they also prepare meat dishes. The pots and pans that they use "touch" meat and could be offensive to the strict vegetarian, so many of them prepare their own meals exclusively.

You don't strike me as one of those crazies (sorry for being a little judge-mental ha-ha...) so enjoy your instant ramen. But you may not want to overdo them because of the high sodium content - up to 1000g in some brands! Yikes. And congratulations on switching to a vegetarian based diet. You will not regret it.
