Is a vegetarian diet healthier than a diet with meat in it?

okay so i'm doing this essay for school asking if a proper vegetarian diet is healthier than a diet with meat. And so far most of the websites are saying that it is healthier because it reduces the risk of things like cancer. But is the vegetarian diet healthier because your not eating meat? Or because your getting a higher intake of fruits and vegetables? Articles or any information would be helpful =)Is a vegetarian diet healthier than a diet with meat in it?
yes i am a vegetarian and i feel greater but also the meat is usually chemicalized and it takes a few days for the meat to go thru the digestive system but vegetables usually go thru smoother
I dont think its healthier, but I think because you are actually watching what you are eating, eating as a vegetarian can be a good lifestyle choice. Is a vegetarian diet healthier than a diet with meat in it?
its not your lifestyle ..its what you do within that lifestyle..

things like chips and cookies and pop can still be veg*n..

a vegan who gorges on chips and pop all day and sits in front of the tv is not going to be healthier then a person who eats a balanced diet with a moderate intake of meat and who exercises ..

its not simply cutting out meat..its making a conscious effort to be healthier..which anyone on any type of diet can do..
not necesarrilly.

If the diet contributes to getting a good amount of calories, still getting your protiens, vitamins, carbs and other nutrients (ect.)

then yes, it can be healthier, but if your missing your protien, this is one of the very imporantant thingsa you need in your meal.

The thing with vegitarians though is that they normally take more time to prepare thier meals and care more rather then the routine that most people have when preparing their food and just throwing it on a plate and eating it.Is a vegetarian diet healthier than a diet with meat in it?
A proper vegetarian diet would be healthier because you aren't getting as much fat from meat. I also believe that you would have an increased intake of other things, such as fruits and vegetables. (Not including people who eat more junk food to make up for loss of meat.)
no one diet is more healhy than another. personally i like my veggies and meat. i dont go overboard with all the fats or live just on meat products, i balance everything so i dont have an excess of anything in particular. im 46 yrs old and i have a cholesterol level of 115. only slightly elevated but for my age, not too bad.
shut the **** up you all aren't doctors!
Yes it is.
well , if you hardly never have meat , then it would be a diet with meat because you need meat , but if you are a vegetarian and eat strong food, or even just strong food, then it would be vegetarian diet .

P.s , Hope i helped .
