Is a vegetarian diet bad for guys?Can a vegetarian diet seriously lower your testosterone?
The answer to your first question is "yes"
The answer to your detail question is best answered by your dietitian
There have been concerns that soy products can lower testosterone, but not a vegetarian diet itself. Also there is no documented cases where vegetarian men have testosterone levels that are too low. Eat enough protein rich foods: legumes, nuts, beans, green leafy veggies etc and you shouldn't have to worry about anything.
In a recent study looking at soy's affect on reproductive health in healthy males, men given 40 mg of soy isoflavones daily for 2 months (there are 20 mg of isoflavones in 1 cup of soy milk; 38 mg in 1/2 cup of tofu), there were no effects on serum sex hormones, testicular volume, or semen quality. This was deemed the first study to examine the effects of a phytoestrogen supplement on reproductive health in males. No!
Myth.Myth.Myth.
I think you'll have a problem with your "testosterone" eating meat because all the hormones and other stuff injected into it; than you will eating a non-meat diet.
Vegetarian guys have more energy, better OH-DEAR smell, and better skin than guys who eat meat.
Vegetarian = Sexy
Vegan = SEXAY
lol.
Only if you rely exclusively on soy meat substitutes for protein. That said, eating a diet high in meat can have the same effect because of the hormones used in livestock farming. Drinking a lot is also a no-no. But a balanced plant based diet will improve your health and generally increase masculinity. And yes, I do know from personal experience that even a vegan man can be every bit as much man as I want. Or more.Can a vegetarian diet seriously lower your testosterone?
I don't know about testosterone, but I noticed nothing wrong with the vegetarian male that I dated. He turned out to be a jerk, but if you're worried about being hot, muscular, masculine, and, erm, virile, then you need not. He was all of those things.
No.
A vegetarian diet is the healthiest thing any person can do for themselves, and every other aspect of a person's life improves because of it. Sleep, mood, energy level, attitude, longevity, stamina, and yes - sex.
apparently yes, have a look at this abstract:

but don't worry..your "performance" will not be affected ;-), you might just get a little less aggressive in your normal daily life, so more focussed.
And your chance of getting prostate cancer and heard disease will get lower.
What? do you think meat is a source of testosterone?
Being vegetarian wont lower your testosterone, but watch out for soy milk. A lot of people think soy milk might cause estrogen levels to increase.
Sure hasn't lowered mine.
it works when you are not black
