What is healthier a vegetarian diet with lots of carbohydrates or a mostly meat diet with lots of proteins?

My vegetarian girlfriend disagree on this, just wanted to hear what other people think. And I'm only talking about one or the other, if anyone says a balanced diet is best they get a thumbs down, that's just stating the obvious. What is healthier a vegetarian diet with lots of carbohydrates or a mostly meat diet with lots of proteins?
Most protein sources come from animals such as dairy, eggs, and meat. However, if you choose a vegan diet you can get just as much protein from one-half cup of beans as a 3 oz steak.

If this answer helps you, choose me as best answer please. :) Thank you. What is healthier a vegetarian diet with lots of carbohydrates or a mostly meat diet with lots of proteins?
Depends on the type of carbs and the type of meat! Lean meats are healthier than red meats...and some carbs are better for you than others (think: processed foods/french fries vs. fresh fruits and veggies and whole grains.)

If you are eating the healthier option of each diet stated...the vegetarian diet would win! What is healthier a vegetarian diet with lots of carbohydrates or a mostly meat diet with lots of proteins?
the only issue i ever have with a veggie diet is the tendency to try to eliminate meat without knowing what proteins need to be substituted. you have to have proteins and essential fats. i would side with a healthy veggie diet.
Vegetarian including adequate lean protein is by far the healthier option.
