How to go on a healthy vegetarian diet?

I would like to know what are the specific foods that can effectively substitute vitamins in fish, poultry, and meat and what is the daily intake in order to go 100% vegetarian while still maintaining a healthy and well-balanced diet? How to go on a healthy vegetarian diet?
Have to post links here because there is so much info on this and not enough time on here:

This is the American Dietetic Association's website, here they list food sources of important nutrients when on a vegetarian diet. http://www.eatright.org/Public/content.a鈥?/a>

They also reference the vegetarian food guide pyramid to guide you in maintaining a healthy well-balanced diet.

One way to know if you are getting the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for all the nutrients you need is to follow the Food Guide Pyramid. http://www.mypyramid.gov/pyramid/vegetar鈥?/a>
eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and you'll be fine. for protein go with beans and nuts. consider getting an emulsifier (not a juicer). then you can make delicious smoothies of all sorts of healthy combinations. How to go on a healthy vegetarian diet?
Make sure to get protein by either fish or nuts. Make sure to take a multi-vitamin to ensure you are getting everything you need. Also, you need to find some way to get Omega-3 if not through fish. Take a supplement.
Get omega-3s from flax seeds. You could take a supplement.

Iron from lentils, and green leafy vegetables.

Protein from soy products, beans %26amp; rice, etc.

I would also take a daily multivitamin. Liquid ones are best since your body will absorb them better than capsules. How to go on a healthy vegetarian diet?
You could check out www.vrg.org (nutrition section) for this information
