How to maintain a healthy vegetarian diet?

I am a growing 13 year old girl, and i have been a vegetarian for a month and 1/2 now. THe other day, my dad said my diet is too unhealthy (which it really is) and so i need to eat meat. As a compromise, we decided on being a vegetarian that eats fish.

How can i maintain a HEALTHY diet like this? :)How to maintain a healthy vegetarian diet?
Vegetarians never eat fish, you can get protein and all the nutrients you need from green vegetables, soya, beans, lentils, nuts, mushrooms and tofu.
A VEGETARIAN THAT EATS FISH IS A PESCETARIAN. SERIOUSLY, DEAL WITH IT.

When fish (seafood) is the only "meat" you eat is called Pescetarian, and it can be hard to morph your diet into a healthy veg one but possible and worth it!

Veggie substitutes (like bean burgers and are found in the frozen food section at almost every grocery store now) are more expensive but super tasty ( my favorite brand is morning star) but the products are filled with protein since that's what we are missing out with from no more meat eating!

Make sure to incorporate fruits and veggies with every meal, I usually get a bag of apples and grab one whenever I eat/drink anything else or am sitting down to watch tv, play a game, etc (any snacky time when you's usually grab chips or something)

Don't forget whole grain breads! A super easy switch from white, sourdough, italian etc. I love Dave's Killer Bread 21 Grain! It's got 6g of protein per slice! Along with 21 nuts and grains lol

You can get soy lunch meats as well, that's usually in a different section in the grocery store, the same area as soy cheese, soy hot dogs and tofu!

Anyways you should definitely check out PETA'S website, I didn't for the longest time thinking it was going to be this crazy website full of killing animals videos and when's the next protest, but it is an extremely helpful website! Lots of recipes, tips, and cheat sheets to help you along the way to a happy healthy Vegetarian or Vegan lifestyle!

Best of luck!!!

most concentrate on eating lot's of raw fruits and vegetables(salads, celery, cucumbers, carro鈥?br>
so that you aren't eating junk like chips and candy and other stuff even though it's vegetarian but isn't very healthy to eat. you can still have some just don't overdo it.

and watch lots of vegetarian videos on youtube. that way you will understand eating vegetarian better.

fish is an okay compromise. at least fish eat other fish. How to maintain a healthy vegetarian diet?
Just so you know fish is TECHNICALLY still considered vegetarian so think you're good :)

and when it comes down to keeping a healthy vegetarian this might soind cliche but it all comes down to BALANCE :)

i know that is a vague term but what I mean to say is that you should eat everything in moderation not just a lot of just one thing. So try to keep all food groups in mind when planning meals. And when thinking vegetarian try to make meals that are interesting, full of flavour and delicious because it is REALLY hard to stay on any type of diet ( non veg or veg) unless you like what you are eating

remember no matter wat people say being vegetarian doesnt mean you have to give up good food :) you can always have the best of both things :0

hope his helped....im sorry i just kinda blabbed on and on :$
No you won't be a vegetarian. A vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat meat, fish or poultry. You'll be a pescaterian.
Vegetarians don't eat animals.

Fish are animals.
