Steamed veggies and brown rice, chili, baked tofu. Get a cookbook that's vegetarian friendly and look at the ingredients. You can tell which recipe is healthy and what isn't. Try the Mcdougal diet. It's vegetarian. You'll lose weight.
be careful many people are allergic to rice. and use wild, or brown rice it's better for you. milk is not dietetic in any way so use moderation. your best bet is to limit fruits (sugar) use no sugar at all, so don't buy low fat food they add more sugar for flavor. eat 5 small meals a day not 3 large ones and exercise, you will not lose 30 pounds in that amount of time unless you do..................GOOD LUCK!!!
If it's white rice, then you wont have a ton of luck if you eat alot of it. Rice in general is very high carb and white rice is a bad carb food.
It's better to lose weight slowly (1-2 pounds per week is a good goal). If you lose weight quickly, your metabolism will slow down and your body will burn calories a lot slower because it thinks it is starving and will try to conserve energy. You will be much more likely to regain all the weight you lost.



High fiber foods like fruits and veggies are good because they gave a lot of bulk and water that will make you feel full faster and stay full longer. Whole grain pastas and breads are good too.



It's also important to exercise to keep your metabolism up. Try to exercise for at least 45 minutes a day. You can break it up into 3 15-minutes sessions if that's easier for you.
