Is my body in shock due to the recent vegetarian diet?

It's day 8 of going vegetarian and i did the transition over night. Lately i have been really tired, muscle aches, and a few headaches. If there is an article or anything through the web about going veg and possible side affects please feel free to tell me !Is my body in shock due to the recent vegetarian diet?
You need to read up on a Vegetarian diet, if done properly there is no difference from people who consume meat.

"Diet for a Small Planet" is one of the best resources
Your system is adjusting. Some people ease into a vegetarian diet over the course of a couple weeks as to not “Shock” their system. Phasing out animal products more gradually and replacing them with veggie products of equal nutritional value.

Make sure your diet is balanced. Look at the nutritional value of what you are eating and make sure you are getting the required nutrients for your age, health and size.

The fatigue and aching can be a signal of something missing in your diet that your body is asking for. Try some higher protein foods. If in the next day or so the problems continue to persist then you should probably see a doctor. IF at anytime the problems get worse, then you need to see a doctor immediately.

A vegetarian diet can be fantastic for your health, but it is something that needs to be done properly to be successful. This stands true for ANY diet.Is my body in shock due to the recent vegetarian diet?
possible detox side effects, dehydration

however, the fatigue and muscle aches might be due to lack of protein in diet. vegetarians are at risk for lack of protein in diet. if you are vegan, i suggest plenty of nuts, beans, and tofu. all of these are healthy and good sources of protein. if you are eating fish, then by all means include fish as well, it is low in saturated and "normal" fats, high in omega-3 fatty acids (good for cholesterol), and high in protein. be sure to look up RDV for protein--there is not a real limit, but i believe the minimal amount of protein in a 2000 Cal diet is 96 g.

additionally, make sure you are getting 100% of RDV vitamins and minerals. you might need B12 and other B vitamin supplements, as these come mostly from meats.
I had nothing but good side effects when I went vegetarian and also when I became vegan. If you are having these problems you just need to search for a 'healthy vegetarian' website and they'll have advice for how to be healthy. Theres no reason to feel bad when becoming veggie unless you're not doing it right. :)Is my body in shock due to the recent vegetarian diet?
i think that switching to a vegetarian diet shouldn't be a problem, just make sure your still getting all the right vitamins and nutrients that you did before. like make sure you get the proper amounts of iron and protein.
It's most likely your body's adaptation causing some side effects as well as some symptoms of detox. The same thing happened to me.
i had no problems when i became a vegetarian

idk maybe its different depending on how old you are

just make you are still eating i guess
What are you eating? You can't give up meat, replace it with salad and expect to stay healthy. You'll need to eat a lot more to replace the calories in meat and lots of a wide variety of veggies to replace the complete protein in meat. Heme iron in meat is easier to absorb than the non-heme iron in veggies, so, again, you need to eat more veggies high in iron. Vitamin B12 is not available in plants at all. So you need to supplement with pills, shots or eat highly processed fortified food. We're natural meat eaters. You can certainly do without it, but it's not a simple task.
